How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive( EU only). Once you agree(EU only), the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets us know when you visit a particular site page or came from a particular site or advertisment. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.( wishlists, product sorting, recently viewed products etc.)

A cookie does not take personal information from your computer - rather it puts site use information onto your computer - which can later be retrieved.  For instance, an order number can be associated with a cookie.  However no order number is saved in the cookie or other personal data. The converse would represent a more logical scenario. For example,  upon placing an order a cookie's data can be retrieved that was holding information on which site page the customer entered on or perhaps how long on the site before placing an order. - this information can be compiled with other statistics and appended or associated with an order.  The logical use example would be - page A vistors represent 34% of all sales for Product A.  This information can be useful for site owner to improve experience or markerting- but would have no impact on the privacy (individual) of the cookie recepient.  This would be a classic case of how our site uses this data.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us via orders or subcriptions. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
